Once an applicant has reviewed and finalised the application then can select the service the service type (standard or priority). And accordingly, can schedule an appointment at one of the UKVACs in Pakistan i.e. Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Mirpur (AJK). 6. UK Visitor Visa Biometrics Requirements in Pakistan

An applicant needs to attend an appointment at one of the application centres in Pakistan for biometrics and passport/application submission. Accordingly, the staff of the VFS Global application centre takes an electronic photo of the applicant at the time of application submission. Moreover, the staff of UKVAC also takes an applicant’s biometrics i.e. scanning of fingers + thumbs. 7. Waiting Time for UK Visit Visa Decision in Pakistan

During July-Sept 2020 (Q3) after reopening of UKVAC due to Coronavirus (Covid-19), 15,964 Entry Clearance Applications submitted from Pakistan. Accordingly, 18,047 decisions made and 11,049 visas granted, 6,648 applications rejected, 350 applications withdrawn and no application lapsed. Therefore, the UK visa success and refusal rates after Coronavirus (Covid-19) restrictions in 2020 Q3 are 61.22% and 36.84%, respectively.

Please note, in July-Sept 2019 Q3, UKVI made 55,444 decisions. Therefore, the number of decisions (18,047) made on UK visa applications from Pakistan in 2020Q3 were nearly one-thirds of the decisions in 2019 Q3 due to Coronavirus (Covid-19). Moreover, the UK visa success rate in 2020 Q3 (61.22%) after Coronavirus (Covid-19) is slightly higher than approval ratio in 2019 Q3 (56.45%).

UK Visa Application Centres (UKVACs) in Pakistan

The UK visa processing time starts when an applicant submits application and biometrics at one of the following UK Visa Application Centres (UKVAC) in Pakistan:

  1. Islamabad – Park Road, Chattha Bakhtawar Chak Shahzad, Islamabad
  2. Karachi – 43/1/D, Razi Road PECHS, Shahrah-e- Faisal Karachi
  3. Lahore – 20, Ex American Centre Building, Opp. Ganga Ram Hospital Queens Road
  4. Mirpur AJK – Nau Mahal Plaza, Near Football Square, Defense Road

The Visa Application Centres (VACs) in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi are already open for customers. The Mirpur VAC will reopen after Coronavirus (Covid-19) Restrictions on Feb 22, 2021.

During Covid-19 pandemic, the UK visa application centres in Pakistan will take the body temperature reading of the applicants. Moreover, all applicants need to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines to enter the visa application centre. The staff of the UKVAC in Pakistan will help customers exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough or difficulty breathing to reschedule their UK visa application submission for another day.

9. Air Travel Passenger Guidance 2021 for

UK Visit, Student, Spouse, Work Visa from Pakistan

Before You Travel to the UK from Pakistan

  1. Do not travel if you have coronavirus symptoms or are self-isolating
  2. From Dec 18, 2020, travelling for a holiday is not permitted under Alert Level 4 in the UK
  3. From Jan 18, 2021, a passenger is required to provide the evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result taken up to 72 hours (3 days) before departure
  4. A Pakistani citizen needs to submit the Public Health Passenger Locator Form any time in the 48 hours before arrival in the UK
  5. Optional: Book a Test to Release for reducing the Self-Isolation (Quarantine) Time from 10 to 5 days
  6. Check FCO travel advice
  7. Check your airline’s requirements
  8. If possible try to check in online
  9. Plan your journey to the airport (check public transport advice as necessary)

At the Airport in Pakistan

  1. Be patient and follow instructions from staff
  2. Stay 2 metres away from others wherever possible
  3. Wash or sanitise your hands regularly
  4. Wear a face covering – without one you may be refused entry into the airport
  5. If you require assistance you should request this as you normally would

  1. Follow instructions from crew at all times
  2. Remain seated as much as possible
  3. Wear a face covering – they are required on flights in England, and many airlines require them for allother flights

  1. Make sure you fill out the Public Health Passenger Locator Form online before you arrive
  2. Follow crew instructions for disembarking the aircraft
  3. Wash or sanitise your hands as soon as possible
  4. Stay 2 metres away from others wherever possible
  5. Go directly to the place where you will self-isolate – avoid public transport if possible
  6. Observe self-isolation for 10 days in the UK – if you violate self-isolation rules then will be fined
