Moreover, also provides the details of British Citizenship and NTL processing times. Please note, during the 2019Q2, no ILR application was received under ECAA and PBS Tier 5.

ILR Processing Time 2020

In a nutshell, the ILR processing time after biometrics 2020 service standards for straightforward indefinite leave to remain applications with standard (normal) service within 6 months. Moreover, the service standard for super-priority premium ILR processing time for indefinite leave to remain applications is by next working day (24-hours). However, applicants cannot fast track all types of ILR applications within one working day by paying an additional £800 for super-priority (aka ILR premium or same-day service). Indeed, by and large, the 5-working day £500 priority service is not available for most types of the ILR applications. For instance, in 2019Q2 only Tier 1 General ILR applicants were able to use the 5-day priority service.

Please note an indefinite leave to remain (ILR), British Citizenship, NTL applications is rejected as invalid because an applicant has failed to pay the correct fee or provide mandatory evidence.

Please note: for Priority ILR visa application where an applicant has met all the requirements the service standard is to decide the application within 5 working days (excluding Bank Holidays and weekends), where the first day is the day of biometric enrolment. For all Super Priority ILR visa applications where the customer has met all the requirements the service standard is to complete all applications by the end of next working day (excluding Bank Holidays and weekends), where the first day is the day of biometric enrolment. 

Spouse/Partner Visa

During April-June 2019 Q2, 3,120 Spouse visa ILR applications received – including unmarried and same-sex civil partners. However, 37 application refused as invalid and 219 spouse ILR applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 2,864 straightforward applications, 2,801 UK partner/spouse visa ILR applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the partner/spouse visa ILR processing time 2019 for 97.80% of straightforward indefinite leave to remain applications was within 6 months. Moreover, during the period, 3,064 super-priority premium partner/spouse visa ILR applications received. However, 3 application refused as invalid and 600 spouse/partner ILR visa applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 2,461 straightforward super-priority premium partner/spouse visa ILR applications, 2,410 applications decided by next working day. Therefore, partner/spouse visa ILR processing time 2019 for 97.93% of super-priority (premium) indefinite leave to remain applications was within 24 hours.

Domestic Violence

During April-June 2019 Q2, 1,180 Domestic Violence ILR applications received. However, 91 applications rejected as invalid and 112 Domestic Violence ILR applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 977 straightforward applications, 967 Domestic Violence ILR applications decided within service standard of 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 98.98% of straightforward domestic violence indefinite leave to remain applications was within 6 months. 

Tier 1 General

During April-June 2019 Q2, 838 Tier 1 General ILR applications received. However, 2 applications refused as invalid and 79 Tier 1 ILR applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 757 straightforward applications, 741 Tier 1 ILR applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 97.89% of straightforward Tier 1 indefinite leave to remain applications was within 6 months.

Additionally, during the period, 377 straightforward and 111 non-straightforward priority Tier 1 General ILR applications received. Accordingly, decided all the 377 straightforward priority Tier 2 General ILR applications within the 5 working days. Therefore, ILR processing time 2019 for 100% of priority Tier 2 General indefinite leave to remain applications was within 5 working day. Moreover, during the period, 275 straightforward and 37 non-straightforward priority Tier 1 General ILR applications received. Accordingly, decided all the 275 straightforward priority Tier 2 General ILR applications by the next working days. Therefore, ILR processing time 2019 for 100% of super-priority (premium) Tier 1 General indefinite leave to remain applications was within 24 hours. 

Tier 2 Skilled Workers

During April-June 2019 Q2, 680 Tier 2 ILR applications received. However, 1 application refused as invalid and 34 Tier 2 ILR applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 645 straightforward applications, 638 Tier 2 ILR applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 98.91% of straightforward Tier 2 indefinite leave to remain applications was within 6 months. Moreover, during the period, 4,318 super-priority Tier 2 ILR applications received. However, 1 application refused as invalid and 462 Tier 2 ILR applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 3,855 straightforward super-priority Tier 2 ILR applications, 3,853 applications decided by next working day. Therefore, ILR processing time 2019 for 99.95% of super-priority Tier 2 indefinite leave to remain applications was within 24 hours. 

Long Distance

During April-June 2019 Q2, 564 ILR applications received under the Long Distance route. However, 4 applications rejected as invalid and 100 Long Distance ILR applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 460 straightforward applications, 457 Long Distance ILR applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 99.35% of straightforward long distance indefinite leave to remain applications was within 6 months. Moreover, during the period, the Home Office received 907 straightforward and 155 non-straightforward super-priority Long Distance ILR applications. Accordingly, decided 902 straightforward super-priority Long Distance ILR applications by next working day. Therefore, ILR processing time 2019 for 99.45% of super-priority Long Distance indefinite leave to remain applications was within 24 hours. 

Other Settlement Applications

During April-June 2019 Q2, 952 Other settlement applications received. However, 18 application refused as invalid and 171 Other settlement applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 763 straightforward Other settlement applications, 757 Other settlement applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 99.20% of straightforward Other settlement applications was within 6 months. Moreover, during the period, 439 straightforward and 47 non-straightforward priority Other settlement applications received. Accordingly, of the 439 straightforward applications decided 437 super-priority (premium) Other settlement applications by the next working days. Therefore, premium ILR processing time 2019 for 99.5% of super-priority Other settlement applications was within 24 hours. 

Protection Claim

During April-June 2019 Q2, 5,327 ILR applications for protection claim (human rights). However, 94 application refused as invalid and 638 protection claim applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 4,595 straightforward protection claim ILR applications, 4,574 applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 99.50% of straightforward protection claim indefinite leave to remain applications was within 6 months. 

No Time Limit (NTL) Applications

During April-June 2019 Q2, 6,333 NTL applications received. However, 532 applications rejected as invalid and 625 NTL applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 5,176 straightforward applications, 5,136 NTL applications decided within 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 99.23% of straightforward NTL applications was within 6 months. Moreover, during the period, 855 super-priority NTL applications received. However, 12 applications rejected as invalid and 58 NTL applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 785 straightforward super-priority NTL applications, 784 applications decided by next working day. Therefore, ILR processing time 2019 for 99.87% of super-priority NTL applications was within 24 hours. 

British Citizenship

During April-June 2019 Q2, 38,679 applications received for British Citizenship. However, 501 applications rejected as invalid and 9,173 British Citizenship applications were non-straightforward (complex). Accordingly, of the remaining 29,005 straightforward applications, 28,694 British Citizenship applications decided within the service standard of 6 months. Therefore, the ILR processing time 2019 for 98.93% of straightforward British Citizenship applications was within 6 months.
